Thank You For Taking Time 4 Hemp!
This Web site evolved from interviews Casper Leitch conducted while hosting the California community cable access show called, 'Time 4 Hemp'. The series made its debut on January 5, 1991 and went international three months later.
At that time, many Hemp Activists in California were trying to get an option on the California ballot known as the California Hemp Initiative (CHI) where voters could decide as to whether or not marijuana should be legal, at a minimum for medicinal reasons.
'Time 4 Hemp' was created to bring publicity to the California Hemp Initiative. The Initiative made it onto the ballot and passed, making California the first state in the US to allow people to grow six plants or less for medicinal purposes in their own homes and not face the fear of persecution!
Featured among the interviews are Willie Nelson, Dr. Tim Leary, Keith Stroup (founder of NORML), Kevin Zeese (co-founder of the Drug Policy Foundation), and Steve Bloom (editor of High Times Magazine).
